Online, Distance Education Program

The online Accelerated Master of Tourism Administration (AMTA) program provides the same world –class education as the on-campus MTA, but is especially attractive for mid-career professionals seeking flexibility through a distance learning format. AMTA features engaging multi-media lectures and online discussions with faculty and students. AMTA offers students the opportunity to study from their present location anywhere in the world, while positioning themselves for change or advancement. AMTA provides individualized guidance based on personal and career goals, and networking opportunities with industry professionals.

The AMTA experience is uniquely highlighted by two Residencies in Washington DC. The Inaugural Residency is an orientation week designed for new students to get to know their professors, administrator’s current students and alumni, and most importantly fellow classmates. The second residency is the Capstone Experience near the end of a student’s degree that culminates in a highly regarded MBA-style care competition with industry experts serving as judges.

GW also offers a MBA with a Knowledge Domain in Tourism, Hospitality, Event and Sport Management.
