Attendance at a GWSB First-Year Academic Advising Webinar is mandatory for all incoming fall 2024 first-year students before meeting individually with a member of the GWSB academic advising team. Please note that attempts to schedule an appointment prior to attending the webinar will result in cancellation of your appointment.

Scheduled Academic Advising Appointments
Scheduled academic advising appointments are available both in-person and virtually.
No-Show Appointment Policy
Advising appointments are limited, so we ask that you cancel your advising appointment at least one business day in advance if you are unable to attend. Failure to do so will result in a 'no show' status for same-day cancellations. Students who accumulate three 'no shows' will forfeit the privilege of scheduling advising appointments for the current semester; these students may still participate in virtual drop-in advising sessions for the remainder of the semester. Thank you for your cooperation in maximizing advising opportunities for all.

Please note: Students may schedule an appointment up to two weeks in advance. New appointments become available for booking every business day. Students are encouraged to join a virtual drop-in academic advising session if the available time slots do not align with their schedules.
Academic Success Coaching
GWSB students can meet individually with a GWSB academic success coach to receive individualized support in areas such as college preparedness, creating academic goals, study skills, time management, identifying distractions, or other various challenges.
Please note: Academic success coaches do not advise students on the same topics as an academic advisor; if your questions are better suited for an academic advisor (academic policy interpretation, course scheduling, curriculum questions, study abroad, etc.) please schedule an appointment with an academic advisor or visit our virtual drop-in academic advising sessions.
